What's happening at our Stadium?

First and foremost...

First and foremost, we would like to thank you all for your ongoing patience and understanding during these hard and unusual times. The measures that have been put in place to restrict the spread of COVID-19 have greatly impacted the events industry, resulting in drastic changes to the upcoming major events and our weekly clubs to be held here at Barfoot & Thompson Stadium. 

Abrupt obstacles is an aspect that the events industry has learned to become acquainted with, thus our team is working tirelessly to navigate our schedule with all the necessary changes that need to be made. ​

What to expect for Alert Level 4

Following the latest Government outlines, the Stadium unfortunately will be closed under Alert Level 4.

Closing our doors to the public means that we can no longer go ahead with our weekly clubs and/or any of our upcoming major events that fall within the time period for which we are under said Alert Level 4 lockdown. Typically once we step back into Alert Level 2, our weekly clubs can return back onsite. On the other hand, the status of our upcoming events is up in the air and vary from each event, accounting for significant variables, such as expected numbers. Constant communication between our team and our clients is the key to a successful event, and we will continue to work through this rough patch in order to reach an ideal end result that benefits all parties.

For now however, everyone's safety is paramount. We strongly advise everyone to stay home and follow the Government rules and guidelines.

We know you're heard it all before, but we want to keep reminding you that collectively following these simple rules and guidelines makes the biggest differences.

Wash your hands regularly and dry thoroughly

Wear a mask if you're out and about

Maintain your physical distancing of 2 metres

Stay within and protect your household bubble

Use the NZ COVID Tracer app or make a list of where you've been

If you're sick, stay home

You can never be too safe...

Before entering the Stadium, we encourage all visitors, casual bookings and affiliated clubs and events to download and read through our COVID-19 Guidelines to ensure you have an understanding of the general requirements needed to preserve the safety of you and others.
